We started phenoptix by trading on ebay.uk in 2003 and have had over 2500 happy customers up to now. 1 in 3 returned to us to buy again and from this we decided to make the sensible decision and open an online shop, and here it is.
Mission Statements always seem a bit contrived to me but here we go....
We want to offer great service and prices. I found the LED market to be lacking, you'd get one or the other; service at cost or bargain basement with no guarantees.
Part of the service I believe is great shipping practices because something that really, really bugs me in general about Internet shopping is when you think you've found a great deal, then they sting you with high postage costs. At phenoptix we charge 30p for orders under £5 to the UK and nothing after that. Shipping to the EU and US is charged at actual postage rate, we throw in the packaging for free, it's only a jiffy bag, some antistatic and an address label after all!!
There is no excuse for expensive shipping unless you need your package handcuffed to a special services agent and flown halfway across the earth!
